I ended up checking out early after the room still hadn’t been serviced when we returned around 1:30. The used towels were still there, and nobody had picked up the small bag of trash I’d tied up before leaving that morning. I called the desk and was told housekeeping had left for the day, nobody could bring fresh towels or toilet paper or collect the dirty items, and the manager would call in a day or two. It’s been a week and I still haven’t heard from the manager. The room had already started off badly. The hallway was dirty when we arrived for our two-night stay, and the toilet was clogged and unusable. A front desk employee came to fix it, so I hoped it was just a one-time problem. The next morning we left early after gathering our trash and used towels for housekeeping, but the hallway still looked unclean when we got back, and our room hadn’t been touched. The employee said she was new and was doing what she could, but management not returning a call is terrible service. The hotel was dirty and very rundown, and the website photos didn’t match what we found, including the gym. We won’t stay here again.

The shower head leaked a little, though it wasn’t a problem for me. The workout room was okay for cardio but didn’t have real weights, and the pool area was closed for the season. My room was very nice, with a comfortable bed, desk, and chair. I slept well.

The room was fine and had plenty of space, but breakfast was awful. The coffee was cold, the milk was gone, and there was hardly anything to eat, not even oatmeal for my toddler. The waffles did smell good, though. Keep the room, but go somewhere else for breakfast!

The staff are amazing, and I found this to be the best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel so far, even after working in one myself. My room was clean and ready when I arrived, and they even let me check in a little early. Hands down the best place around. This is the only hotel I’ll stay at in Glen Rose.

Run from this hotel. I woke up with bed bugs in the bed, and the bites showed up on my face and neck a week later. We left right away, and after a week we finally got our money back. The aftermath was awful: we had to wash everything in HOT water and hope we hadn’t brought any bugs home. I’ve notified the TX Health Department. Management should be ashamed. The place looked bad from the start, with grass that seemed not to have been cut for months, and the room smelled musty. I should have left then. When I showed the front desk the dead bugs and a video of them in our bed, he basically asked what I expected him to do. Absolutely disgusting.
