Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn & Suites

Best Western, this was my 450th stay with your company and one of the worst. The bed was nice, so that gets the one star. I didn’t check out anything else. I flew into Austin, drove here for a funeral nearby, and then waited an hour just to check in. Nobody was at the front desk. I called the number by the phone, rang the bell, and checked the open rooms in case something had happened. I even called Corp, but they couldn’t get anyone to respond. They were about to move me to another location 30 minutes out of my way. Then a woman appeared out of nowhere, with no name tag and stains on her shirt. She said, and I quote, "yeah I use to live here but then I moved out". That was the end of the conversation. I’ve never been so disappointed in Best Western staff. The office doors were all open, so anyone could have walked in and seen private information left on the desk. That sounds like a privacy breach or a pending lawsuit.

We needed a pet-friendly place because we wanted to bring our sick, elderly dog, so we called ahead and made sure everything was set. That worked out well. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was good. The location was convenient for our trip to Dinosaur Valley State Park, right next door to the Expo Center, with plenty of food options nearby. Coffee, tea, and juice were available in the lobby 24 hours a day.

My room was nicely put together, and the hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly, while management was top-notch and clearly cared about how things ran. I highly recommend this Best Western and will definitely return next year.

JC, the owner, goes above and beyond for guests. I really appreciate how well he looks after the property, and I’ll keep staying here whenever I’m in Glen Rose.
