The service was excellent, but the kitchen could use some work. We got there at 5:30 for all-you-can-eat crab legs, and after two servings they told us they were out. They offered a free dessert, but the crème brûlée was runny and uncooked, so I sent it back.
Jennifer took great care of our table. We stopped in for lunch, and the food was delicious. The restaurant felt just like I expected an inn to feel, and the service was excellent.
Went back after about 10 months, and the food had gone downhill. The fried green tomatoes were uneven, one overcooked and another undercooked, and the pork chop was raw near the bone. The French fries were abysmal, so I sent them back. My ribeye, though, was amazing, and the server was great. Our first dinner here had been great, especially the fried green tomatoes. I’d go back, but that follow-up meal was a letdown.
The area is beautiful, and Summit on Cross Mountain was about a ten-minute drive away for the wedding we attended. We enjoyed our few days here and stayed in the presidential suite. It was spacious, though the bathroom felt a little small for two people. We had dinner here one night and it was good, with great service. I forgot about the coffee room until our last day. The service was great throughout!
Jennifer had our room ready when we checked in early for a small fee, and left her number in case we needed anything. We were staying nearby for a wedding and chose the Inn. Our room was in the annex across from the Inn, with a relaxing deck just opposite. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.
