The hotel's location near many businesses is the main reason I'd give it three stars. It could work for a business trip, but otherwise I don't see the point. Parking was a problem: there's no parking on the property. They give you what seems like a ticket for a public lot quite far away, on a very dark street with no lights and some crooks hanging around. I didn't want to risk it, and found a paid garage right across from the hotel for just $19 for 24 hours, a great deal. The hotel itself is on the second floor, reached by a long, steep staircase, with no elevator, so keep that in mind if you need accessible entry. The rooms look and smell old and run down, and their windows face another building's wall just a couple of feet away.

The hotel itself is cute and close to restaurants and coffee shops, but the service made the stay frustrating. One front desk employee was discourteous and unprofessional, and the parking directions weren't clear. I was told to park behind Porto’s and got a ticket. My room's TV didn't work, and a soda marked $2 ended up costing me $10. Communication and pricing were unclear, so we won't stay here again when we're in the city.

The rooms were old and dingy, the walls are thin enough that you hear everything, and while I was trying to sleep I felt things crawling on me. I believe there were bedbugs. It was the worst hotel experience I've had, and I'd never stay there again. Getting in was difficult too. There's no parking and no elevator, so you have to climb two flights of stairs, which is hard if you have trouble with stairs or luggage. I paid for a public parking pass the hotel provided, then got a $50 ticket the next day. I believe the hotel is issuing bogus passes. When I asked for reimbursement, nobody returned my call.

Cute, clean place, but the views are bad. The beds squeak, there's no elevator, and parking is far away. The worst part was having my deposit held for over two weeks. I left the room in good shape, so I should know the next day whether I'm getting the money back. Fix this or I'm not coming back.

Arthur at the front desk was kind, friendly, and welcoming from check-in through checkout. Brand Plaza Hotel in Glendale was a great stay, with clean, comfortable rooms that were well maintained. The location made it easy to get around Glendale and Los Angeles, with restaurants and shopping nearby. Everything went smoothly, and it felt like good value for the price. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
