Glendale Motel

I forgot something in the previous room and called the front desk. I told them it was in the nightstand drawer beside the bed and described it, but they said they’d call if they found it. At checkout there’d been no call and the item was still missing. I was out $150 or more, and all my research was lost. The hotel didn’t apologize or offer to fix it. I was moving and needed a local place, and staying here was a terrible mistake. The kiosk check-in representative was unsympathetic, and I felt like an unwanted guest. The rooms are spacious and look clean, but don’t go barefoot. Outlets wouldn’t hold my charger, and the room felt dated. When I paid online to extend a night, they moved me to another room of the same type, with the same outlet problems and an even older bathroom. Avoid this place. There are better options nearby with much better service.

The place was calm, quiet, safe, and very clean. The staff were generous and provided all the supplies we needed. We loved it. It’s our first stay, and from now on we’ll choose GLENDALE HOTEL without a second thought. Thank you, OUR GLENDALE HOTEL! 😊🙏🏻

There were cockroaches all over my room, and they were so big they didn’t even run when I turned on the lights. The whole place smelled dank, including the hallways. The owner put psychedelic artwork in those corridors, though thankfully not on the side that looks straight out of a 70s time machine. That side has tacky 70s inspired art, and apparently it’s the “good” side. I did like the clock wall. Half the hotel feels like an endless maze in some liminal space. Maybe it’d make a fun photography spot. The other half is a roach infested hellhole. Also, all the fire alarms have been ripped out of the walls, so good luck if there’s a fire. Surely that’s up to code!

The room was nice and had a fridge and microwave. Downstairs there was complimentary coffee and infused water, and check-in through a person on a kiosk was different but quick and simple. I was in town for a concert and stayed one night at the Glendale Hotel. It met all my expectations, and I’d stay again.
