Hometowne Studios Denver - Glendale/ Cherry Creek

I’ve mostly enjoyed staying here. The room is cozy and clean, with a full-size fridge and microwave, a small sink and stovetop, plus a table and chairs. You have to ask the office for kitchenware, and I found out the wall timer controls the burners, which can be set for 15 minutes at a time. The rooms are dated, but staff are friendly and pleasant, and I’ve seen them working hard to take good care of the property. It’s close to lots of places, and service animals are welcome. I still need to explore the area more. A few other guests have been a bit of a problem. Last night someone tried to break into my room while I had the lights off and was listening to my phone with earbuds in. I got the plates from the truck and car involved, and I’ll be turning them in.

During my 12-day stay, things seemed to be going fine at first. Then, for the last two days, they wouldn’t give me toilet paper, saying they had none, though other hotel guests were given some. The place isn’t very clean, and they don’t provide necessities. There were cockroaches in the room too. I killed one with my shoe and took it outside to see what it was. I have my kid with me, and this place isn’t very kid-friendly. Honestly, you get what you pay for.

There are lots of “residents” around who seem clearly under the influence. The rooms are dirty and moldy, and I’m sure there are bugs. I’m surprised the place is still operating. That said, I’ve only come here for a couple of hours when I’m with my side piece, so there’s that. Good for that 😏

I’ve traveled all over the world and stayed in bad hotels, but none as bad as this one. The staff were rude, foul-mouthed, and extremely unprofessional, with no people skills. My room was filthy, smelled like urine, and didn’t feel safe. On the morning of day four of my five-day stay, the lock stopped working and left my belongings locked inside. The front desk woman said I could move to another room, but that room was dirty. I had to break into my assigned room with her guidance, then stayed there for the rest of my visit because I wasn’t going to move into a dirty room. When I checked out, I asked about compensation and the desk worker said she’d offered to move me, even though that room was dirty. I still haven’t received the $100 incidental deposit back. What could they even charge anyone for? The rooms are trashed. The ad photos don’t show what you actually get, and my attached photos show exactly what this place is like. You get what you pay for here. Beware.
