Renaissance® Phoenix Glendale Hotel & Conference Center

This is a review of the convention center only. I didn't stay at the hotel and didn't make use of the nearby things to do, though the location has plenty within walking distance. The center itself was okay overall. Food was acceptable, but the soups weren't very appetizing. Staff service was good, although I barely needed to interact with them. The AV setup was difficult. Internet video kept freezing, and microphones cut out in nearly every session. It was especially hard to follow the session with a speaker joining online because both video and audio kept freezing or cutting out. Parking is outsourced, and while there are plenty of spaces, there's no shortcut through the garage to the hotel, so expect a walk. With the stadium and baseball spring training happening, a cart would help if you're carrying a lot. The pay station didn't give me the receipt I needed for work, and trying to get one has been a huge hassle. As of writing this, I still haven't received it. Parking currently costs $10 for 0-10 hours, with higher rates after 10 hours, though I don't know what they are. I'd call this an okay convention center.

Ludevina led the catering staff for the meals and breaks at the conference I attended at the hotel January 21-23, 2026. I didn't stay there, so this is just about the food service. The selection and quality were probably the best I've had at a conference in a long time. Every meal and break had something delicious. Thanks so much, Ludevina!

For a four-star hotel, they need to do better. After our granddaughter's gymnastics competition, I was shocked by all the cobwebs high up on the media room walls. The main hallway restroom had no paper towels for drying my hands. Do better, Renaissance!

Ludevina made breakfast service a lovely start to the conference day. She gave us tips for keeping our coffee warm and greeted us with a happy, warm smile. Excellent service.
