La Quinta Inn & Suites Glendive

We liked that the shampoo and conditioner came in pumps and the coffee was served in paper cups. It's nice when a hotel cuts down on styrofoam and wasteful single-use plastic. The beds were soft, the hotel was quiet, and we had Netflix and YouTube on the room screens, which was new for us. Breakfast was decent too, with acceptable coffee and Polish sausages. This was our first stay in a LaQuinta and in Glendive, and the reviews gave us an accurate idea of what to expect. Thanks for a clean, straightforward stay.

I usually have no problems here, but this weekend was frustrating. I'm handicapped and called the motel directly to make sure they could meet my needs. I asked for a first-floor room close to the front desk and breakfast area, since I can't walk far. I was told I'd have room 117 near the doors. At check-in, though, I was told my room was on the third floor and that there was an elevator. That's not what I'd arranged. Then the employee said no first-floor rooms were clean yet and had to check how long it would take. Room 122, halfway down the hall, was ready, so I took it even though it wasn't what I asked for. Neither of us slept well because the beds really need replacing. We could've had more comfort on the sidewalk. Other than that, things were okay. Breakfast was good, and the breakfast host was awesome.

We arrived around 10 PM and could quickly pick up what we needed from the small convenience store downstairs. It has refrigerated foods as well as snacks and drinks, and there are arcade machines too. The room was at the end of the building with no neighboring rooms beside us, so it was peaceful and quiet. We could hear other guests opening their doors a little, but it wasn't a big issue. The hotel is very clean, modern, well maintained, and feels almost brand new. Staff were warm and seemed to care about guests. Breakfast was excellent compared with places that offer very little: boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, roasted potatoes, oatmeal, and more. We really enjoyed staying here and would gladly return.

Breakfast had lots of choices, and the staff were friendly and made check-in easy. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Parking was fine, but there's limited room up front, so a large trailer may need to go around back. We had a great stay and I'll definitely return.
