Best Western Copper Hills Inn

This was a pleasant place in a handy part of Globe, though $175 felt a bit steep for the room and location. The older two-story motel layout reminded me of the outdoor motor hotels from years ago. The gated lot used a passcode, which made parking feel safer. Workout equipment was in a separate building behind the main one and was nicely set up. There was also a pool and hot tub outside, but both looked closed. I liked being able to walk through from the lobby past the breakfast nook to the rear of the building. The nook stayed open around the clock, though supplies were limited. Breakfast included some hot items, and you ordered the main parts through a serving window, then they brought them out on a plate. The room had the usual basics, including a safe. The blackout curtains worked very well, but outdoor noise carried in and we could hear footsteps from upstairs. The towels were small and rough, a complaint I've had at a lot of Best Westerns. Also, is there gambling around here or something? We paid more than expected, but that's how it goes.

The staff were so friendly and thoughtful, and breakfast was delicious. Our room was comfortable, and the location made it easy to get into town.

After a bad stay at another local hotel, we checked whether Best Western had a room and decided to give it a try. Mark at the desk was helpful and understanding about what had happened, and found us a good rate. The room was exceptionally clean and well cared for, the bed was comfortable, and the TV was great. Everything worked, so we had a really good stay. I'd recommend it.

The room inside and the breakfast were fine, but arriving at what felt like a construction site made the stay unpleasant. There was debris on the sidewalk and plastic over our window, and the Wi-Fi barely showed one bar and couldn't be used. I don't think they should have rented the room in that state, just to make a buck. I'd wait until the work is finished before staying.
