Days Inn by Wyndham Globe

I was here for work for a few weeks. The rooms were cleaned really well, the beds and pillows were comfortable, and the owner and staff were friendly. Coffee and breakfast were ready early each morning. My only real problem was the water in my room: the pressure was good and the bathroom was clean, but it never seemed to get properly hot. Apart from that, a good motel.

The shower water barely got lukewarm, and the jacuzzi was broken. Staff weren't friendly or helpful. Our room was mediocre, with towels left in the bathroom doorway. We later figured out why: the toilet leaked all night and flooded the whole bathroom. When we brought up the problems, all we got was, 'we will look into it.' I'm surprised this place still has the Wyndam name. Worse than a Super 8. Wouldn't stay again.

I don't recommend staying here, mainly because of how the owner treated me. At 5:00 a.m. I came down to work in the lobby, like I usually do at hotels, but he was furious and wouldn't let me into the lounge. The building is also very old. The carpet drags against the door, which I could barely open, and smells awful.

The shower seemed to have no hot water, so we told the manager as we were leaving. He showed us it did work, but only with the knob set in the middle, so apparently we'd used it wrong. Still, he wouldn't offer any compensation. Disappointing.
