Holiday Inn Express & Suites Globe by IHG

The shower and tub were dangerously slippery. I nearly fell twice, so I put a towel in the tub to keep from hurting myself. The other three people in our group all said they slipped and nearly fell too, so it wasn’t just my room or me. When I reported it at checkout, the clerk offered a rubber mat from the front desk. I told her this was dangerous and could eventually cause a serious injury or death and a lawsuit for millions. I hope someone at Holiday Inn corporate reads this and gets the location owner or operator to fix it soon. Amy was a delight at check-in, friendly and sweet, ten stars for her. Our group spent the day at Apache Lake on 8/2/25, then stayed here that evening in four rooms. The hotel was in surprisingly good condition, and the rooms were clean with very comfortable beds. I always check for bed bugs and didn’t find any. One person in our group had bites that may have come from the lake, so I’ll give the hotel a thumbs up for no bed bugs.

The hotel is basic, quiet, and clean, south of downtown Globe. We were in town for an appointment, and the standard Holiday Inn Express breakfast was very good. Wheelchair parking was available. The pool and hot tub were out of service, and the business center printer didn’t work. Jerome Brown was especially helpful and saved the day by printing what we needed on the front desk printer.

We came with extended family for a wedding and planned to spend downtime by the beautiful pool shown in the photos. Instead, it was empty when we arrived and clearly had been for a while, with no discount offered. The room was clean and breakfast was good, but the ice machine was broken, the sink barely trickled, and the AC sounded like a chainsaw. Sadness.

The continental breakfast was great, and dogs being allowed was nice. The pool and jacuzzi were empty and out of service. The room was plain, basically a bed, sink, and toilet, and the hotel was plain too. It’s close enough for a stay if you’re heading to roosevelt lake. We didn’t mind the drive.
