Holiday Inn Express & Suites Goodlettsville N - Nashville by IHG

We had a decent five-night stay. The room was clean on arrival, and the evening check-in employee was welcoming and friendly. She even upgraded our room. There are some amenities nearby and others just a few minutes away by car. Breakfast was well stocked and hot, the usual Holiday Inn breakfast. We also used the pool, which was warm, though the surrounding area wasn't very clean. The heater made a lot of noise and woke us when it turned on at night. Housekeeping was more frustrating: they mostly swapped our towels and considered the room done. I had to ask repeatedly to get crumbs vacuumed, and it took three days of asking.

The shower had black mold along the edges, and the AC/heater was so loud it woke me all night, like sleeping beside an airport runway. Breakfast had a nice selection, but the food was only barely warm. The in-room coffee maker didn't work, and the replacement didn't either. I gave up on coffee after that. The place has potential, but between the noise, the mold, the lukewarm breakfast, and two broken coffee makers, the stay kept things interesting.

The breakfast was excellent, the rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. We stayed twice in one week, and they've earned our family's business for the foreseeable future. There's a great choice of restaurants in the area, too. Can't wait to stay here again on our next trip!

The room was in great shape, with a comfortable bed and clean shower and bathroom. Breakfast was good, and the hotel itself was very nice. The trouble was before I arrived. The day before my reservation, I called 15 or 20 times and emailed because I needed to cancel for a specific reason that required speaking with the hotel manager. Nobody answered. IGH Customer Service couldn't reach the hotel either, so I had to keep the reservation, which disrupted some family plans. While I was there, I picked up a business card with the number in case anyone needs it.
