Sonesta ES Suites Phoenix Goodyear

We loved the huge, beautiful rooms, especially having a living room, kitchen, and dining area. The location was really convenient for the concert we were attending, and I’ll definitely come back. Check-in had a problem, though: we had to wait because our room wasn’t ready even though it was after check-in time. There were a few odd things in the room, including what I think were small Tylenol pills, hair on some towels, and a lock that didn’t work on one of the doors. Other than that, everything was great.

The staff are friendly and always available, and the place is easy to reach just off the highway. The pool and hot tub are decent; our room was big, the bed was okay, and there were plenty of pillows. For breakfast, I’d stick to bagels or cold cereal. If you’re an early riser hoping to get the 4am coffee, be ready to remind the guy up front around 3:45am. It’s not bad for the price.

The staff made the stay, everyone from the front desk to housekeeping was courteous and helpful. We chose this place after reading earlier reviews while in town for family business, and it worked out well. Our suite had a kitchenette, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, where they even put on some light music, though we skipped the pool. Breakfast was free, tasty, and handled well with the social distancing setup. I mentioned a few things that needed fixing: the bedroom remote needed batteries, the bathroom vent wasn't working, and the main door latch needed attention. Shops, food, and banks were nearby, and having food delivered was handy. I'd stay here again.

I met my brother here while we handled guardianship matters for our mother. His room was clean, spacious, and nicely laid out, with a living area and desk, which was a real plus. The front desk staff were friendly, knew their stuff, and were helpful.
