My daughter was excited about the workout room, but it was closed or out of order. We also found the price was higher when we arrived. I chose this place because of the hot tub, but at first the pool was warmer than the tub, which was cold. When I called, the woman at the desk said nothing was wrong and that nobody was there to help. They did eventually get it working later that night, which gave me some hope. After swimming for an hour, though, my bathing suit was bleached out, and my little guy had chlorine burns on his legs and cheeks. We swim often, and this has never happened before. I’ve worn that suit in pools at least 15 times. We had to go back to our room to shower because there wasn’t a rinse shower in the pool building. We won’t return. I wish I’d read the reviews first.

Srini deserves a special thank you. She was kind, professional, and really helpful. My fiancée and I had a great trip to NH, and the hotel was clean, well located, and had excellent customer service.

I’ve stayed here probably 65 times over the past several years because I travel to this area for work and the location suits me perfectly. On my last visit, the mechanical door lock failed and kept me locked out for several hours. Once I got in, I worked for a bit and went to sleep, but a maintenance worker woke me and spent a few hours fiddling with the lock while smoking cigarettes in my room. I asked the front desk to comp that night for the trouble, and they agreed. I soon booked another room for today, but when I arrived for the reservation, they turned me away because of my earlier complaint and the credit for one night.

I found this hotel through Google Maps and saw a rate on its website through "Super" for $122, or $132 with taxes and fees. I wanted a better price than $155, nothing special or illegal. When I asked at the desk, the younger of the two women offered a room for $135 cash. Then she said I could go about half a mile to an ATM and bring back "$120 cash." I felt uneasy. I can’t know what she meant to do, but it seemed fishy, as if she might pocket it. The receipt lists "fpatel" as the person who checked me in; the younger woman had very odd mannerisms. I booked through Super for $122, $132.54 total with taxes. Since the booking was non-refundable, the women then told me there was also an $8.63 amenities fee. Super says "NO OTHER FEES," so I felt extorted and paid $141.17 in total. Super paid Roadway Inn $115.50 from the $132.54 I paid them. The whole thing felt slimey, deceptive, and like I’d been screwed with. This hotel is literally both a Roadway Inn and a Quality Inn, but I won’t stay with either brand in the Choice Hotels group again. I told both women I’d write a thorough, honest and very bad review. Neither seemed upset or said anything, and nobody apologized.
