The Glen House Hotel

The small pool was fun, and the beds and bedding were really comfortable. I’d stay here again. The lounge and bar were so relaxing, especially with the snow-capped mountain views.

I honestly can’t think of anything they need to improve. The rooms were very clean and had nice touches, including organic shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the showers. The views are beautiful, the food tastes great, and the prices are very reasonable. The staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly, every employee we dealt with was great. My family lives locally and we stay in hotels fairly often, even though we aren’t loaded. The service and attitude of the employees were the best part by far. This place is a real gem.

We had to call twice to get the itemized receipt, which was supposed to come by email after checkout but never did. I’d advise future guests to ask for one and check the charges carefully. The hotel is in a great spot, very close to Mount Washington, but I’m giving it three stars because of a billing problem and how it was handled. We booked two rooms with the bed and breakfast package, but the breakfast vouchers weren’t applied correctly to the final bill. When we called to explain, the front desk representative kept interrupting us and was rude. Before hearing us out, she said, “Breakfast is not free,” and then told us, rudely, “I don’t recommend the bed and breakfast package again.” After checking the charges, the hotel refunded the difference, confirming there had been a mistake. The billing issue was straightforward, but the interaction left a bad impression and could have been much more professional and courteous.

I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in the White Mountains, but after this visit I don’t want to stay anywhere else. The property, hotel, room, and view are all beautiful, but it’s the people who made the place amazing. I’ve never encountered nicer staff, and they really understand accessible rooms. Wonderful place, highly recommend it.
