Deer Brook Inn is a short eight-minute drive from the village, and our stay exceeded what we expected. Chris and Carmen made sure we had what we needed while still giving us privacy. They’re wonderful innkeepers, warm and kind, and went out of their way to make the visit feel just right. The Inn is beautifully decorated, cozy, and welcoming. My friend and I stayed over Wassail Weekend, and felt at home from the moment Carmen greeted us. I’d happily return. Thank you, Chris and Carmen, for such a beautiful spot in Woodstock.

We slept wonderfully, thanks to the excellent mattress and sheets, and the room’s living area was meticulously clean. Chris and Carmen answered all our many questions happily, and we were glad to get their great recommendations. Their stylish home has so many lovely details you just want to keep looking around. Apple cider and homemade ginger cookies were waiting for us, too. Both mornings, breakfast was absolutely out of this world: fresh pear jam from their tree, honey from their bees, eggs, croissants, whipped butter, banana and poppyseed bread, fruit with yogurt and granola, and fresh garden vegetables and nasturtiums. At breakfast, we all joked about what they’d do the next morning when we weren’t supposed to be there anymore. None of us wanted to leave. I told my partner as soon as I walked into Chris and Carmen‘s place that it was the kind of spot I’d never want to leave. Thank you, Chris and Carmen, for making it feel so nurturing and homey. We can’t wait to return.

Chris and Carmen were such gracious hosts, making everyone feel welcome and going out of their way to make the visit special. Breakfast was delicious and looked like artwork, with this husband and wife team eager to accommodate everyone. The Deer Brooke Inn was exceptionally clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated for fall, and had a roaring fireplace for guests to enjoy. We had an amazing experience and highly recommend it. We’ll stay again on our next visit to Vermont. Ten stars!

The home is gorgeous, decorated with care, and meticulously clean. Chris and Carmen are incredibly lovely and hospitable, and made us feel at home right away. I just got back from a lovely two-night stay and can’t say enough good things. I’ll definitely look to stay here next time I’m in Woodstock.

Our anniversary getaway felt special thanks to Chris and Carmen, who welcomed us so warmly. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, and the Inn is beautifully furnished and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious, and there were refreshments in the dining area throughout the day. Guests can also use the sauna. Woodstock village is just a few minutes away by car. Deer Brook Inn was perfect in every way.
