Captain's Cottage Suites

The room was beautiful, and the location is great, close to bars, restaurants, the GH channel, and the state park. I was very satisfied overall, though the bed was much too firm to be comfortable. You're paying a premium for the location. Fix the bed and it'd be perfect.

My wife and I loved Captain's Cottage. It's in great shape, clean, spacious, and laid out really well. We could walk everywhere, with the waterfront, shops, and restaurants all so close. The only tiny flaw I can find is that the hand towel holder squeaks when you're drying your hands.

We found Captains Cottage at the last minute for a Labor Day weekend getaway and felt lucky to have found it. The location was unbeatable, and the unit was spacious, clean, and well equipped. The kitchenette was a great bonus, and the kids said the sleeper sofa's memory foam mattress was very comfortable. We appreciated the Keurig, water, granola bars, and popcorn, and the bathroom's jetted soaking tub was great too. It was a really good trip, and we hope to visit again.

Each of the three rentals has its own stairs and private off-road parking for one vehicle, with more parking on the street. Inside, ours was clean and updated, with a kitchenette, fireplace, balcony, bedroom, and pullout couch that was comfortable enough. They'd left microwave popcorn, bottled water, and granola bars too. The location worked really well: two blocks from the main shopping street, across from the channel, and tucked away from the busy road for a quieter stay. We'd come back and recommend it.
