We were impressed by how many thoughtful details Serendipity gets right, from the well-equipped kitchens to the lovely linens. Our family of 36 stayed in 11 suites over a long July weekend in 2014 to celebrate our wedding, and everyone was very happy with the accommodations. The modern tiled bathrooms are gorgeous, with wonderful rain-style shower heads. We also enjoyed the pool and the several outdoor spots where we could gather to eat and talk. The on-site staff were friendly and helpful, keeping track of the little things and making sure people were comfortable. The downtown Grand Haven location made it easy to walk everywhere. It’s amazing they created this facility in the heart of town. We’re fans, and the family is already planning to return next summer.

We were in town for my friend's wedding the weekend of 6-14-14, and the large, comfortable place fit all our friends easily. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice, and everybody loved the pool. I’d recommend staying here for an occasion like that or just for a visit to Grand Haven.

We liked the apartment’s Colonial charm, and its location was excellent, just a few minutes on foot from the main street’s restaurants and shops. The beach and Lighthouse Pier were about a 15-minute walk, though we drove because we had all our beach gear. Our suite was clean, but the apartment needs upkeep: some cracked floors should be repaired or replaced. I booked after seeing several reviews mention the pool, but it’s now private property and guests can’t use it. That makes me wonder how the place can be called a “Resort.” I might stay again, but I’d check other options first.

We had a clean, comfortable room that worked perfectly for our two-night visit. The neighborhood is nice, and it’s an easy walk downtown. The staff were great, including mailing back a watch we’d left behind. We’d definitely recommend staying here in Grand Haven.

Sheila really cares about people and the community, and she’s a gem. When I needed a bed for my daughter, she helped me find one, and she also gave me a good reference for my next apartment. I met her through a mutual friend when I first moved to Grand Haven and needed somewhere temporary. She manages Serendipity and set me up in a small apartment on the third floor of the main building at the corner of 2nd and Franklin. The wood paneling made it feel like a cabin, which was so cool. Sheila was always fair and helpful. I HIGHLY recommend Serendipity if you’re vacationing in Grand Haven. They treat you right.
