We were left scrambling late at night, with our birthday evening ruined and nowhere to go at 10:30. The hotel turned us away at 10:15, even though it closed at 11, and we were told to wait a week for our refund. We’d booked for my birthday and brought our dog because the front page of the website specifically says pet friendly. They then said pets weren’t allowed in the deluxe room. My husband even offered to book another room that allowed dogs, using the first reservation just for the hot tub, but they refused that too, saying the dog couldn’t be left alone while we used it. We showed the employee the website, which didn’t mention this restriction in the pet policy, but she refused to look and insisted it was clearly stated. Expedia customer service had to call several times, and I had to go in and ask her to answer so the refund could be issued. Terrible experience. I’m attaching a copy of the site showing pet friendly with no other detail. Maybe someone from the company reading this can make it up to us and rebook us on our next trip to Colorado.

The rooms were filthy: trash, dirty socks, and crusty tissues under the beds, with thick dust and hair throughout the bathrooms, especially the tubs. When we raised it, manager Amy seemed unconcerned and said there was no one available for housekeeping. As we left, she said we’d be compensated. But when we called later, they said they had no intention of refunding us or offering any compensation. This place is the absolute worst.

A little diamond in the rough. The room was great and had a small jacuzzi, and the shower pressure was surprisingly good. Service was really friendly, too. I arrived early, and they helped me get checked in. The price was affordable compared with other hotels around here.

The bed was the only decent part. The room doors wouldn’t unlock with the card, so I had to call to get a hard key. The lamps didn’t work, the AC came on whenever it felt like it, and the bathroom sink water was freezing with no hot water. Customer service was awful, and the whole thing was embarrassing. On the first night, I came back from work and started laundry, but I was four quarters short for the dryer. The attendant wouldn’t give me change because the laundry room was closing at 11, so my wet work clothes sat in the washer until morning. I was working out of town on a construction job in the city and had rented a third room for that evening. At 11:07 a.m., Megan, the manager, called to say my rooms had expired at 11. I said I was extending and would come by during lunch, around 1. She spoke to me like she was scolding me and said if I kept doing that, they wouldn’t extend me. I pointed out I had just rented a third room for that night. After the call, Megan called back and told me to remove my things from both rooms. Even if I extended through Expedia, she wouldn’t extend the rooms and would lock me out. I said I’d take my business elsewhere and pick up my $100 cash deposit for each room. Altogether I had five rooms. It’s a run-down old hotel with the worst customer service. You’d be better off sleeping in your car.
