We wouldn't have stayed if we'd known what to expect, and we'd choose somewhere else next time. There was a lot of black mold, in the corners, up the wall near the shower, and under the bathroom counter. When we asked to move, they said the hotel was full, so they gave us bleach spray and a rag to clean it ourselves. The bottle's sprayer didn't even work. The room was fair at best: it had an A/C unit, but a sign said not to leave it on or it would freeze up. The hall, entrance, desk, and breakfast areas were stifling, with no A/C. Staff weren't mean, just unengaged and robotic. Breakfast was sparse, and they had coffee cups but no stir sticks, wraps, or lids. The parking lot is small, though there's some street parking nearby, and groceries, gas, and restaurants are conveniently close. We didn't use the pool because our family was at another hotel and we went to their pool instead.

We got the king room with the in-room hot tub, and even bath salts were set out beside it. The room looked dated, which had me a little worried after reading other reviews, but the issues were cosmetic and everything was super clean. The bed, quiet, and cleanliness mattered most to us, and we had the best night's sleep in months. It was also $100 less than the other hotels available when we booked in August.

I wouldn't recommend this place. We had no luggage cart, no comfortable chairs in the room, and the beds were extremely soft. The bathroom door wouldn't close, and the shower felt unsafe: the tub bottom was slippery and there were no bars to hold on to. The TV in one room never got fixed. The guy who came to work on it thought he'd solved the problem, but hadn't, and he smelled of body odor, so we didn't want him back. I also left a device plugged into an outlet. We called four times to ask whether it had been found. They were rude on the first two calls. I was told they check all plug-ins while cleaning, so I can only assume they found it and kept it.

At check-in yesterday, the front desk woman acted like every guest was a bother. This morning I went down for coffee because there isn't any in the room, but the coffee maker in the breakfast area was empty. When I told her, she said, "I'll get to it when I get a chance." Later she came out from behind the desk wearing pajama bottoms and an old sweatshirt. What is this, Walmart?
