DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Grand Rapids Airport

The staff were all very kind, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed. I loved the free airport shuttle, which is easy to spot at pickup because there's a giant cookie on the back. I just wish the hotel had a few more amenities, like in-room microwaves and coin laundry.

Avoid this place. The wedding package was supposed to include breakfast, but when we asked, they tried to sell it to us for $15. When I booked, the man who took the reservation didn't add it to the package, even though I said I was coming for my daughter's wedding. I also had to sit through a 15-minute high-pressure pitch just to get a small discount that should already have applied to the wedding party. There's no hot tub, though the website doesn't say it's been removed. Bathroom doors don't lock, and there's no fridge or microwave. I'd read reviews mentioning bedbugs, but my daughter recommended the hotel, so we booked it. I feel awful that she recommended it to the wedding guests. They won't do anything to fix their mistake. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Never again.

The firepit and outdoor seating were a nice extra, and there's a lot of restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were beautiful and clean. The hotel was top notch, and I enjoyed the in-house hotel too, gander. I'd stay again.

I was flying out of Grand Rapids airport the next afternoon, so I stayed here in December 2021. It's one of the closest hotels to the airport, and I got a good deal on the room. The chocolate chip cookie at check-in was great.
