Embassy Suites by Hilton Grand Rapids Downtown,MI

On Valentine’s Day, my husband surprised me with a Grand Rapids trip and a stay here. We’d stayed once before, on our wedding night. The lobby is beautiful, open and bright, with big windows looking out at the Grand River. Upstairs, the floating stairs lead to a lovely space with complimentary snacks and drinks. Our room was nice overall. I loved the shower, and the bed was comfy, though there were sticky drops by the entrance and kitchen. A river facing room comes with a balcony and two patio seats. Parking costs $25 a night. Breakfast had made to order omelettes along with the usual eggs, bacon, cereal, biscuits, and more. There’s a Starbucks on site, but its app can’t be used there. This time there were a lot more children, and they were louder. I’m also always surprised when housekeepers play music out loud while cleaning instead of using headphones. That happens at other places too. Still, I’d absolutely stay here again.

The room was tidy, with a desk where I could get some work done, a warm shower, and a comfortable bed. I also used the guest laundry and fitness center, just what I needed since I can’t skip leg day. Breakfast the next morning was complimentary and had a huge variety. Last week’s snow made my morning commute feel risky, so I stayed the night. I’d had a great time here for a friend’s wedding last year, and it didn’t disappoint this time either. Opal at the front desk found me a room and got me settled. I had questions about the amenities once I was there, and she answered my texts very promptly. At checkout, Kayla at the front counter checked that everything had gone well and got me on my way quickly. Thanks for a great experience!

Cara and Sharon, the managers on duty, went above and beyond during our weekend getaway at Embassy Suites. We ran into a few hiccups, but they handled them with grace and a positive attitude. It was clear they love what they do. The maintenance guy who came to help us on Friday, December 26 was also great. He didn’t have to go out of his way, but he did, and it made a big difference. We had a fantastic time and keep talking about the service. It’s a comfortable, friendly place to stay, and I highly recommend Embassy Suites Grand Rapids for a future trip.

Justin at the front desk made our daughter’s sixth birthday stay feel special. I messaged in the morning to ask about early check-in so our family of five could spend most of the afternoon swimming. He replied quickly and found us a noon check-in on the second floor, near the pool, with a balcony view. There was even a bag of candy and a handmade birthday card waiting in the room. Those little touches made our stay. We love coming here. The location is great, the rooms are spacious, and the pool and hot tub are perfect for the family. The restaurant and breakfast buffet can’t be beat. We’ll be back!
