Gateway Inn

The breakfast had muffins, hard-boiled eggs, and coffee, and there’s also a coffee stand in the parking lot. Check-in was quick and the desk staff were friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed here for three separate one-night visits and somehow got the same room every time. No complaints about that, don’t mess with success! The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and there are food options and grocery stores within walking distance. The new outdoor pool looked clean and really nice, though I didn’t swim because of nearby thunderstorms. I’d stay here again.

I wouldn’t come back. The heater wasn’t working on a very cold night, so staff brought in a space heater. The location was rough, right at the crossroads, and our upstairs room was closest to the road. There was no elevator, and the room didn’t feel worth what we paid.

I booked this room for a family member after a very long drive. He was the only guest in the motel, but found hair on the pillow when he pulled back the bedspread. I’d give less than one star if I could.

I’ve stayed here on two trips in a row, and all five staff members I met were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and gracious. The rooms are great, the AC works really well, and the beds are comfortable with nice, thick pillows. The kids loved the pool. I highly recommend it.
