Golden Dreams Inn

The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. But it looked really outdated. The bathtub and shower had a rusty drain, the bathroom blinds were broken, and the bedroom drapes looked faded.

We were impressed with Golden Dreams Inn. It’s an old Victorian house that’s been remodeled, and all the rooms have kitchenettes with full-size refrigerators. The beds were super comfortable with bamboo sheets, and the staff were friendly. The location is perfect, within walking distance of downtown Grass Valley. We’d love to stay again when we come back in the fall.

We stayed for a wedding and had a great time. It’s a beautiful Victorian-style house with rooms rented out to guests. You enter the house and rooms by keypad, which is a nice touch since there’s no key to keep track of. Our room had lovely vintage details alongside modern features, including a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, clawfoot tub, and vintage-style handles. Restaurants on the main strip were an easy walk away. The parking lot was tight with my truck, so I had to maneuver a bit. The property was listed for sale, so I’m not sure what’ll happen in the future.

The owner was so sweet and accommodating. It’s a quiet, quaint little place, and I slept peacefully because the beds are so comfortable. There’s an apartment-size fridge, and the bathroom is really cute. The shower is rainfall style with full-size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Best of all, they provide a makeup towel for the women. I’ll definitely stay again.
