Check-in was easy, and the cabin is cute, cozy, and only a short walk from the beach. I liked having kitchen amenities since I prefer cooking to eating out every meal, and the electric fireplace was nice. Our older neighbors kept things quiet, with no loud music or parties. A few things need attention: the toilet paper holder and towel rack weren’t installed securely and kept falling off, though that should be an easy fix. There was a bowl of moldy food in the microwave, so it seemed that appliance hadn’t been checked or cleaned recently. The shower body wash was nearly empty and had fallen off its rack. Still, I recommend the place for the cozy accommodations and beach access.

I arrived to check in at 4:00 PM, but the cabin hadn’t been cleaned. For the next hour and 40 minutes I tried calling the main business line and emergency contact several times. No one answered, or they hung up as soon as they heard my voice. Exhausted and stressed, I sat in my car trying to find somewhere else to stay and contacting my credit card company. Once I finally reached someone and the cleaning team arrived, they cleaned rooms for guests who came after me first, despite my long wait. I didn’t get checked in until 7:00 PM, three hours late. I sent a formal complaint, but the owner and management have ignored it. There’s been no apology or refund for the three hours of my stay I lost. This was the worst customer service I’ve experienced, and I want a partial refund for the delay.

My wife and I rented a one-bedroom cottage on October 25 to see the big surf and the predicted storm. We brought rain gear, waterproof boots, and warm clothes, and planned to walk the beach the next morning to see what might have washed ashore. The power went out shortly after 7 PM, so we had electricity for only a little over three hours. They offered just a 30% refund. We had no heat, lights, hot water, or extra blankets, and waited in the cold and complete darkness for the power to return. Around 4 AM, after trying to sleep through winds up to 70 mph and headlights from every southbound vehicle shining into the bedroom, I suggested we pack up and drive the two and a half hours home. They don’t tell you that this one-bedroom cottage is right beside the highway. You hear every passing vehicle, and their headlights shine into both the living room and bedroom. I had to push to get half my money back. In my opinion, they should have refunded the full amount without being asked and thanked us for choosing them. We’ll never stay there again, and I’d advise people to avoid the one-bedroom cottage beside the highway. Extremely pathetic hosting.

My wife, our three little dogs, and I stayed here from late May to early June 2024. The staff were so warm and accommodating that we decided to add a couple of days. Anna and her husband made that easy for us. The cottages weren’t brand new, but our accommodations were clean and updated. The beach is within walking distance, and stores are nearby. I’d recommend this place to anyone staying in Grayland.

My two sisters and I stayed here last week, after one of them recommended it based on several visits with her family. The owners have changed since her last stay. We had a few small issues, but they were taken care of quickly. The cottage was clean, with comfortable beds and a reclining sofa, and it’s a very short walk to the beach. We’ve always chosen the north beaches for our sisters’ weekends, but we liked Grayland’s laid-back feel. We’ll be back next year, maybe sooner.
