Pets are allowed, which is a plus. The room itself was clean, though dated, and the beds left all of us waking up with sore backs. The pillows felt about as firm as the ones you get in coach on a flight.

I was surprised by how homey the small room felt, almost like a guest room in someone’s house. It was very clean, and the little touches were really nice. I took a few photos because I couldn’t begin to describe it. The office welcome was friendly, and the woman checking me in patiently explained the keypad instructions on a sheet of paper, even though I was tired. I’d been traveling solo by motorcycle for several days, couldn’t get the lodge I’d planned on, and found most other places booked. I didn’t want to spend much for just one night before moving on. This place had an okay price and better ratings than others in that range. When I pulled up, it looked like an older motel, and I worried it might be one of those places that’s been taken over by unfriendly people who don’t bother fixing it up. I was glad to find that wasn’t the case.

We’ve stayed here for the past three years when I visit my fiancé during his two weeks each year at the army base. Samantha and Darin are amazing, really accommodating owners. The rooms are clean, tidy, updated, and have kitchenettes with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee. They’re pet friendly too. There’s a bonfire pit, BBQs, and horseshoes outside, and we have a lot of fun here, maybe too much :P. You can watch helicopters come and go from the airfield across the road. Downtown bars, restaurants, and shopping are close by. We love this place and highly recommend it!

After my car broke down, I booked at 9pm and was grateful they could still fit me in. The room was very nice, just what I’d expect for the price.
