Americas Best Value Inn Grayson

We booked two rooms, but found serious stains on both beds, blood on one and urine covering most of the other. I called the front desk to ask for clean sheets, but nobody came to help. We returned our key and were told we wouldn’t be charged. We were charged anyway, and have gotten almost no help with a refund for those disgusting rooms. We won’t be coming back.

The walls and floors were filthy, the paint was chipped and peeling, and the molding beneath the sink was nearly detached from the wall. In the bathroom, the towels looked stained and dirty, the shower curtain was disgusting, and the tub had soap scum and a couple of spiders crawling around. There wasn’t any hot water either. Worst hotel experience I’ve had. I don’t know how the health department lets it stay open.

We left and found another hotel. The second room had big brown stains under the comforter in several places that looked like diarrhea hadn’t been cleaned up. In the first room, one bed had blood on the sheets, the toilet had urine in several spots, and another bed had a urine stain covering more than half the fitted sheet. We had rented two rooms. Outside, a second-floor support beam was rotting and falling in, held up by what looked like a 2x4.

I’ve stayed here several times. The rooms have been clean and free of bugs, and housekeeping came by daily while I was out. The receptionist was great and made check-in easy. A great place to stay, highly recommend!
