The building's history adds so much character, and Ski Butternut is close by if you love the mountains. Downtown is just a short walk away, with great food and drinks and charming shops selling local goods. We had a fantastic stay, with warm, welcoming hospitality from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We'd absolutely recommend it.

We stayed at the Berkshire Mountain Inn on a snowy winter weekend, and it made for such a cozy, relaxing New England escape. None of us wanted to leave, and we're already looking forward to coming back. The inn has a lovely old-world charm that feels storied and welcoming. It's expansive in the best way, with something new to discover around every hallway or corner. The beds were comfortable, and the inviting common spaces made us want to curl up with a book or a night cap and stay a little longer. The location is hard to beat. Ski Butternut is just minutes away for a kid-friendly day on the mountain, and after skiing we could head back for a quick reset, then walk out the front door into town for dinner. We recommend Number 10 for a hearty meal, and there are also charming shops and cafes nearby.

The building has historic bones, apparently dating to before the Declaration of Independence, but recent updates make it feel modern in all the right ways. We had a spacious, well-appointed room on the first level, with very comfortable beds. The cozy common areas were especially nice for reading and catching up with fellow travelers. Downtown GB, with its shops and restaurants, is a short walk away, and it was a quick drive to ski at Butternut. I'd recommend this place to anyone.

After a day snowboarding at Butternut, I could warm up by the cozy fire in the living room. In the mornings, I enjoyed sipping tasty coffee in the beautiful dining room. The location made it easy to walk into downtown for dinner, and the staff were friendly and available for anything we needed. We came to Great Barrington for winter weather and snowboarding, and had the most wonderful weekend at the Berkshire Mountain Inn. The house has stunning architecture and a cool history, and the bed was very comfy for relaxing and recovering from my snowboarding falls. The inn was beautiful and cozy. We can't recommend it enough and will definitely rebook!
