Hotel Arvon

It’s a cute historic hotel, and I’d stay again. The room was a good size and fairly clean overall, though the shower could use a thorough bleach scrub. Its half-glass wall has no door, so it got a little chilly.

The staff really went out of their way, and I liked the bar restaurant and the food. I didn’t actually go into the bar, but it looked popular. The place is very clean, easy to find, and has good parking. It’s also close to attractions like the Russell museum and children museum. Take a quick tour if you can, it’s pretty interesting. There was a cat I never found, and a draft it caused, which was weird, but I’m not complaining. I travel more than I’d like, and this place is in my top five. I absolutely recommend it. You won’t be dissatisfied, and I guarantee a great stay.

The two women working at the front desk were extremely friendly and helpful, and the parking garage was a nice surprise. I enjoyed the beautiful heritage building, though downtown Great Falls in December wasn’t especially charming. I arrived late, around 9:30 pm, and the Irish pub had just stopped serving. Nearby choices were slim, and Tracy's was closed too. Breakfast was a bit lacking. When I arrived, there was nobody in the pub, and for about 15 minutes afterward I had to figure out the self-serve setup myself. The food was basic, nothing special, but the atmosphere was lovely compared with a big chain.

The beds were comfortable, and they offer a nice continental breakfast. The rooms were clean, quiet, and had nice amenities. The bathroom had no heater, so it was freezing, and the TV was relatively small, though that wasn’t a big deal. I’d definitely stay again.
