The Cabins At Snake River Sporting Club

I surprised my fiancée with a stay at The Sylvan Lodge at Snake River Sporting Club on January 10th, and proposed near the clubhouse. The people there made it unforgettable. Diana in concierge was incredible, thoughtful and caring from her first reply to my email a week before the trip. Will gave me a full tour a few days beforehand and helped me choose a spot. Jessica and Charlotte coordinated the proposal evening while handling other large events, and made us feel like a priority. Matt left us a thoughtful gift afterward that we'll always remember. Every team member seemed genuinely invested in making the stay special. The Sporting Club was the perfect setting for one of the biggest moments of our lives, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. I can't compare the place and its people to other top-tier resorts I've stayed at. I have a hard time understanding the negative reviews. If you're considering a special occasion or a memorable getaway, don't hesitate.

My fiancé and I had a warm, welcoming first tour with Sebastian. After that, our experience with the events and lodge team changed completely. Replies were delayed and abrupt, and sometimes shockingly rude. Even basic questions seemed to be treated as a bother, which was disheartening. Pricing also changed without anyone bringing it up proactively. We only learned about it after pressing for clarity. The way we were treated left us feeling unwelcome and unvalued while planning a wedding, such an important and emotional milestone. I care about how people are treated, and I'm sharing this so other couples can avoid the same frustration. If kindness, clear pricing, and basic respect matter to you, I encourage you to look elsewhere. There are many wonderful venues that support couples from the first conversation. This wasn't our experience here.

The service was top notch, and the place was so beautiful it felt like I was golfing in a portrait. The chicken pita they brought me on the course might've been the best I've ever had. I went two days in a row and loved it.

The wildlife sightings were a lovely bonus: we spotted a herd of elk on the way in and two baby moose as we left. Our cabin was comfortable and beautifully appointed for the five nights we stayed, and the staff were kind and attentive throughout. They happily showed us around the property without ever asking for tips. I also had a heavenly massage at the spa, and spent a wonderful afternoon relaxing in the room with the hot tub and water feature. We can't wait to come back.
