Days Inn Greenfield

The check-in person was very nice and fixed our TV the first night. But the notice inside our door said to tell the front desk if we didn't want the room made up, and our room was serviced the first morning after Thursday night. On Saturday we were out all day, and nothing had been done when we got back. The desk told us the policy changes on weekends. Shouldn't guests be told that? They gave us fresh towels since ours had been on the floor all day, but we made our own beds. Not great for $500.00. Apart from that, it was okay.

The inn is older, but our room was clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows. The AC worked really well and was quiet. We had trouble with the toilet running and the TV cutting in and out, and they adjusted the bill. Staff were friendly and accommodating both days. I'd seen negative comments about their attitude, but that wasn't our experience. Sully at the front desk was especially helpful and went the extra mile.

I had a lot of paperwork to do, so the room's long credenza and desk came in handy. It also had a fridge and microwave, and the amenities were good overall. The internet signal wasn't especially strong, but it stayed consistent and never dropped during my stay. The place was quite clean, and the front desk person was upbeat and friendly. My one complaint: people sometimes smoked near the entrance despite the sign saying no smoking within 25 feet, and the smell would drift into the halls.

Breakfast was pretty basic: coffee, waffles, toast, bagels, yogurt, and cereal, with no eggs or meat. The breakfast area is very small. My room was clean and in good repair, with a comfortable bed. No one made the bed or replaced my towels, but I was only there for two nights, so it was fine. Others in my group had broken heaters and toilets that kept running.
