I slept badly both nights, and the rock-hard bed crackled whenever I moved, probably because the mattress was wrapped in plastic. The towels were stained, the TV reception was awful, and the free Wi-Fi barely worked in my room. The place smelled like cigarettes on top of the pet odor, and I even found two cigarette burns on the bedspread. I paid less than friends staying at the Hampton Inn for a wedding, but the savings weren't remotely worth it. Never again.

I couldn't even get a cup of coffee at breakfast. The room was crowded with parents and kids staring at me like I didn't belong. Our first room had a broken slider and filthy carpets; the staff moved us, but the replacement was still dirty. I've found somewhere else to stay in the area, and I'm glad I won't have to come back.

The heater kept the room warm through two cold nights, and the location was handy for downtown Greenfield and Interstate 91. I liked having enough space for the table and chairs, which often feels cramped at other Inns. The room and its good mattress were comfortable, and the bathroom was clean with nice towels. Breakfast had a pleasant setting and a good range of choices, including sausage, eggs, and fresh fruit. The landscaped pool area looked inviting for summer. A very nice stay for the price.

By morning, after finding a roach in the bathroom, I was done. We packed the car and cancelled our second night. We had come with my family for a religious retreat in Amherst and booked two nights, but the cigarette smell in the hallway was awful when we arrived late. The room looked dark, and one bed had a hole in the middle when my son tried to lie down. I also spotted a cobweb on the ceiling. We were so upset I forgot to take pictures. Thankfully, God helped us find a decent, recently renovated Red Roof with excellent service. This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

The replacement room was fine, and we slept well there. The first one smelled bad and had an AC that wasn't working properly, plus the internet was acting up. We changed rooms without any fuss, but cancelled the second night right away because the desk employee said the pool had been closed for a very long time. We had booked partly for the pool. Apart from that, it was an okay motel.
