The room was so bad that we left, even though I’ve never left a motel before because it was dirty. There was no toilet paper, the TV showed only static and had no remote to turn it off, and the bathtub kept leaking. Dead bugs had collected in the bathroom light. The heater was partly detached from the wall, and there were holes in the walls and bed coverings. Someone had left women’s underwear under a chair. The sink counter and floors were dirty too. We asked for a refund and were refused, so we left anyway. I contacted Expedia, but they couldn’t get anyone at the location to answer the phone.

I left immediately and asked for my money back. There was no way I was staying in a place like that. The room reeked of smoke despite being booked as non-smoking, the carpet was disgusting, and black mold was visible on every wall and even the bed sheets. After moving the bed, we found a fork underneath. We didn’t see bugs, but other reviews made us think there were some. I’d booked ahead for a concert nearby and wish I’d checked the reviews first. I signed a document saying I’d get a refund, but the money still hasn’t appeared in my account. Choice headquarters gave me points instead of returning what we paid. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone, even my worst enemy. There’s no excuse for it being open, and the Health Department should have closed it a long time ago.

The room smelled bad and looked disgusting, and there was noise and activity outside all night. I didn’t feel this was a safe place to stay. When I first checked in, the woman at the desk stayed on the phone the whole time, apparently talking to a friend. When I returned to switch rooms, she was rude again and told me not to slam my keys on the desk, even though I hadn’t slammed them down. I asked whether the new room was any better than the first, and she said, “I don’t know. I haven’t checked the rooms.”

The carpets were badly stained and had dead roaches on them, and I spent the night swatting at live ones. The place was filthy and miserable. I’ve stayed in some bad motels, but this one was covered in filth. I’d requested a non-smoking room, yet the moment I walked in I smelled strong marijuana and cigarette odors. There were burn holes in the sheets, extensive damage to the walls, and the carpet was so stained that I regretted stepping on it barefoot. Don’t stay here. It’s heavily infested.

At 3:53 a.m., someone knocked on our door while standing where we couldn’t get a clear look at them. They left, then came back about 15 minutes later and knocked even more aggressively. We ignored it, and eventually they went away. The room was full of roaches. We hadn’t noticed until around 1 a.m. because we’d been at a haunted house, but when we came back with fast food, the bugs came out everywhere. It was like Joe’s apartment. We were exhausted, so instead of leaving we tried to sleep a few hours with all the lights on and didn’t use the blankets at all. I’ll never return. Any hotel under $80 a night is not worth it!
