Hyatt Place Greensboro

The bed had hairs on it, the shower’s body wash was empty, and the bedside clock didn’t work. Our bathroom was only about three feet from the bed, and the room layout was awful. The wall thermostat did nothing, so you had to operate the window unit, which I haven’t dealt with since 1997. The light switch was broken when we walked in, too. The TV had just 10 cable channels, mostly prerecorded sports, with no guide, ESPN, or SportsCenter. This place needs a major renovation. I stay in the area every year for a show at the Greensboro complex, but I won’t book here again. There are much better options. It was cheap, and I guess that explains why. We had little choice because the show handled the booking, though we might cancel the rest of our stay and go elsewhere.

I was stranded after car trouble on I-40, and the tow truck could only drop me within five miles of where it picked me up. I explained that to the manager, and Ms. Desiree was so accommodating that she even offered me a dinner voucher. Aaron served me chicken tenders and fries, and told me he and Desiree were both new to the team. That’s how hotels should be run. Hyatt has a place in my heart now, even though I’m usually an IHG woman. The staff made the place feel inviting enough that I added another night. Aaron, Desiree, Toya, and Quarterrah are the names I remember. I’m sorry I can’t recall the name of the lovely woman who cleaned my room and left a card on the bed, such a great touch. The only thing that concerned me was how dull it felt outside, with homeless people wandering around the parking lot all day. I know that may not be something they can control. If I’m back in the area, I’d love to do something nice for this team and their phenomenal leader. Thanks so much from Heather in Utah!

Breakfast was fresh and nicely organized, and the staff were so friendly. My room was spacious and clean, and the location was great. I had a very comfortable, lovely stay at Hyatt Place Greensboro and would happily return.

Annie’s grits are such a nice Southern touch, and they’re included with the stay. I’ve been to Hyatt hotels around the world, but this one stands out. I was here about five months ago and wasn’t sure about coming back after all the problems I had then. I’m glad I gave it another try, the place has changed so much. Kudos to the new team. I’ll be back!
