The lobby and indoor pool look like they've been updated, and the staff and location are both great. The room, though, was the worst I've had at a Marriott. The furniture and lamps were falling apart, the toilet leaked throughout our stay, and stink bugs were in the room the whole time. They offered to move us and ultimately covered all our room charges. I still don't think a room in that condition should have been available to guests. I hope they keep refurbishing the rooms, because otherwise we won't return.

The staff were so friendly, and the pool was warm enough for a swim in December. It was a great way to unwind after a long drive. We had a lovely one-night stay, and breakfast was good, especially the gluten-free muffins.

Second stay, and it was great again. No complaints. The staff were nice, and I enjoyed the common area, indoor pool, and gym. They even had wheat pancakes at breakfast.

Bad weather left me needing somewhere to stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and nice. It was a good experience.

The front desk is what makes this a five-star place. I've stayed at several nearby Marriott properties, including the Courtyard, and switched here to finish my trip. This one is way better for the area. I've spent more than 700 nights with Marriott and am a lifetime elite member, so I appreciate what a good job these guys are doing. The facilities can make a stay, even when the location isn't the main draw.
