Comfort Inn Greenville I-65

The hot breakfast was awful. The eggs tasted like powdered eggs, and the sausage had a fake bologna flavor. They should stop serving those eggs. The toast, bread, bagels, yogurt, and juices were good, but the coffee tasted horrible. Even with that breakfast, I'd give the stay a 9.5 out of 10. The room was quiet, very clean, and inviting, with a wide archway, tasteful decor, a lit headboard against a striking wall design, and a king bed that felt almost too luxurious. The TVs were easy to use, which matters a lot to me. When I first walked in, the place smelled like expensive cologne and felt warm and harmonious. The entry looked and smelled very clean too. I felt smart choosing this Comfort Inn in Greenville Alabama.

After a 12-hour drive, the friendly front desk staff were a real help and tried to fix the refrigerator in our room, but it still didn't work. The manager said we could use the fridge at the front desk instead, which was inconvenient. I asked for a discount since the room we paid for didn't have a working refrigerator. The choices they gave us were full price or checking out at 8:00 PM for a full refund. After driving all day, finding somewhere else that late wasn't reasonable. It felt like paying for a chicken sandwich and fries and only getting the sandwich, while still being charged full price. The front desk staff made an effort, but management's unwillingness to offer even a partial adjustment was disappointing.

The breakfast was good, and the fitness room was nice. The room and bathroom were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a comfortable bed, good amenities, and no plumbing or air-conditioning problems. The location is handy, with easy highway access and plenty of free parking. I could hear people walking in the room above, though. And at checkout they wouldn't let us fill our water bottle, saying that was only for customers checking in. I'd never heard that before, and it was pretty annoying.

In the last five years, this is the best hotel we've stayed at. It's super clean, and the staff are incredibly kind. Can't recommend it enough.
