Knights Inn - Grenada MS

The room was quiet and comfortable, and for the price it wasn't bad. The front desk staff were nice, and the rooms smelled good at first. But housekeeping had missed things: the microwave was disgusting, and a used towel was hanging in the bathroom. It wasn't clean.

The front desk guy was very nice, and the area was quiet. That's about where the positives end. The room hadn't been cleaned thoroughly: there was an old, dirty black sock behind the bathroom door, the floors didn't look properly mopped, and the toilet was malfunctioning. The ice machine was out of order too. That's why this stay only gets three stars.

The bathroom had a hole cut through the wall into a dark room on the other side. That was unsettling, especially after I complained and the manager did nothing. There was no offer to move me to a clean or safe room, or to fix or cover the hole. The room also smelled bad, like mildew and burning plastic, and had trash and broken drawers. Rent at your own risk, you could end up on the internet going to the bathroom, or worse. I'd give zero stars if I could.

I slept well and the basics all worked: the bed was comfortable, the water pressure and internet were great, and check-in went smoothly. My room connected to the one next door, so sound didn't get blocked very well, but luckily the neighbors were civilized and it wasn't an issue. The price was a little more than I'd like, and some bathroom paint was peeling, but I'd stay here again.
