Dawn Ranch

The breakfast crew and bar staff at The Lodge were especially wonderful, and those were the people we spent the most time with. Everyone on the property was great, though. Such a lovely stay, and the staff made it feel even better.

Dinner at Dawn Ranch was the standout for us: the “All That” tasting menu brought together local ingredients and familiar flavors in creative, delicious ways, with the chefs’ backgrounds coming through in the food. We were also impressed by the spa services and stayed in a cozy cabin in the woods. Breakfast was lovely too, especially the house-made blueberry jam, pastries, and eggs.

We had a wonderful two days in the Grove two-bedroom suite, just the three of us, and spent a lot of it playing cards by the gas fireplace. The suite looked exactly like the website photos. The spa treatments were magnificent, and Tracy was really good. The care given to the details and the service honestly blew me away. My one snag was trying to get a day pass for the spa sauna or steam rooms. I’d been told a week earlier to check on the day, since it shouldn’t be a problem, but when I asked that day they said I couldn’t buy one because the facilities were booked. It was the only hiccup in an otherwise above-and-beyond stay. I do wish they’d add a guest sauna or steam rooms near the pool.

Our two-bedroom cabin had a kitchenette and a little fireplace, and the beds were so comfortable. We enjoyed putting together a small cheese plate and pouring some wine there. The grounds are beautiful, and Main Street is close enough that we often walked over to eat. A really lovely stay at Dawn Ranch. We’ll definitely come back.
