Hampton Inn & Suites Pensacola/Gulf Breeze

Sylvia made breakfast feel relaxed for my family. When I asked about the options, she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and looked after. She was warm, thoughtful, and professional with everyone, whether helping guests when the waffle maker acted up or keeping things clean and organized. The kitchen and dining area stayed spotless despite the waffle stations and hot food, and nothing felt rushed or transactional. The continental breakfast had waffles, fruit, oatmeal, eggs, potatoes, sausage, pastries, and cereal. Everything stayed fresh and well maintained. I was also impressed by how clean and comfortable our room was. Since it’s a pet-friendly hotel, I’d expected some lingering hair or smells, but there weren’t any. Sakerria at reception gave us a warm welcome and was on top of anything we needed. The 24-hour drinks station was another nice perk, with several coffee choices, hot water for tea, and a full hot cocoa setup with extras. The little kids, and the big kids too, looked forward to it every day. Sylvia really made our stay, and she’s why I took the time to write this review. Staff who care like that make a comfortable stay even better.

The hotel was outdated and short on parking, and smokers were outside by the entrance and the only bench around the clock. Our room was filthy: sandy, dirty carpets, mold in the shower, weak toilet water pressure, and we had to beg the cleaning staff to tidy the room and take out the trash. Rooms aren’t cleaned every day. We could hear highway noise through the paper thin walls, along with people walking and laughing in the hallways. Breakfast was a joke. There was no fresh fruit, made-to-order eggs, bacon, real sausage, non-dairy milk, or any milk at all. The food was frozen and thawed from bags, including fake scrambled eggs and turkey patties, and the cheese omelets were premade and frozen. I checked in last Friday and left Tuesday. I wish I’d booked elsewhere. This hotel was terrible and definitely not worth booking.

Elise and Yianni at the front desk made check-in and check-out easy. They were friendly, professional, and especially helpful. I stayed two nights and had a great experience at this Hampton Inn & Suites. It was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. I’d gladly recommend it and stay again.

Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It’s in a good location, and I’d consider staying here again if I needed to.
