The staff's care really stood out. About an hour after checkout, when we'd already driven around 60 miles from Wyndham Garden Lake Guntersville on our way from Missouri to Florida, our son realized he'd left his gaming system on the bed. We called, and housekeeping looked for it right away. A few minutes later they called to say they'd found it. They could easily have claimed it wasn't there and kept it, but instead asked whether we could come collect it. We were too far away, so they shipped it to our home, where it arrived by the time we got back from vacation. That effort and honesty meant a lot. Thanks, Wyndham Garden Lake Guntersville, for going the extra mile. The rooms were older but still nice and clean, and the gorgeous balcony view over the lake made the overnight stay lovely. There's a gas station right next door and the best Waffle House we've ever eaten at.

We had a lovely view, with all kinds of birds around, including some herrings, and I watched fishermen on the pier and out in boats. The building isn't new, but it's kept very clean, and the service was great. Breakfast came with the stay and was hot and fresh, with biscuits, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and more. The host was courteous and helpful. I'm very pleased with the accommodations, will return, and highly recommend it.

We stayed in March 2026, when lobby signs said the place had been newly remodeled in 2025. The rooms look modern, but the renovation felt like lipstick on a pig. Paint was applied carelessly, a light fixture was hanging disconnected from the ceiling, and the door frame was rusted and made a loud sound when the door closed. Those flaws and other issues made the room feel low quality. The desk area was far too small for long work sessions, though the rest of the room was okay. It had a fridge and microwave, plenty of bathroom counter space, and great sink lighting for makeup and getting ready. Water pressure was good, but the hot water became scalding very quickly, as if it had no moderator. The beds were nice, the air conditioner kept the room comfortable, and the room was clean with a neutral smell. The porch spaces are divided but not fully private, and smoking is allowed there. We weren't next to a smoking room, but I can see how the close quarters could be gross and annoying. The gym was a huge misrepresentation: there were no treadmills, free weights, or mats, just one cable machine. The website pictures were misleading. There is a pool, plenty of lakeside seating, and boat docks. Breakfast was a pretty average standard buffet. The hotel runs breakfast, while another business operates the restaurant. The restaurant food was incredible, and our server Ashlie was pleasant and professional, with great service. There was plenty of parking, and it felt safe. I saw security patrolling the property. More walkability to the Publix across the street or the pier farther down the road would be nice, but walking anywhere around there feels impossible from a pedestrian safety standpoint. We were happy with the price and would stay again with lower expectations for the room quality. The location is convenient, right in the heart of the lakeside part of town, with a stunning lake view. I'd recommend it for a staycation or vacation if you keep the low quality room features in mind.

We found a used sanitary pad under the bed, and housekeeping had clearly missed it. There was also pubic hair on the towels. Those cleanliness problems made us doubt the room had been properly cleaned before we arrived. The hotel needs better cleaning standards and quality control. Completely unacceptable hygiene.

Breakfast was a nice surprise: instead of the usual banana, cereal, and make-your-own waffle, there was a good hot buffet. The rooms were clean, and overall it's a decent place. My main complaint is the parking. They don't enforce it, so we kept circling to find a space, and never got one near our room. It wouldn't be as bad without luggage. I don't know if the spaces are too narrow, but cars were mostly overlapping, so spots that looked open really weren't. Traffic noise may also be an issue if you're sensitive to it. Please fix the parking.
