Miramar Inn

The staff were really nice, and the rooms were clean. There’s a lot of open space, and the hot water comes out extremely hot almost scalding, which is nice. The bed was very firm and not especially comfortable, but good enough. The decor needs updating, and the TV is tiny. It’s close to downtown and reasonably priced for what you get. Nice enough, though it could be better, not fancy, but fine for a place to rest your head.

A good price for a very basic, standard room, just right if you need a place to sleep for a night. The breakfast area is nice, and there’s a decent little coffee and latte machine in the morning. I think the place may be newer. It doesn’t have an obvious high sign that’s easy to spot from the street.

For an affordable stay, this place delivered: clean room, hot shower, air conditioning, internet, my work van still intact, and a basic continental breakfast. I was working nearby on the coast and we were too tired to drive home, plus we had to come back the next day. This was the cheapest option, and I wasn’t expecting much for what we paid, but it didn’t disappoint. A few things were a little off, though I wouldn’t take points off. My allergies acted up, but that happens to me and I should’ve brought pills. My back was sore in the morning, but after 30 years as a contractor, most mattresses that aren’t mine make it hurt. My key card got demagnetized twice, but I may have put it next to my phone in my pocket. Breakfast had coffee, cereal, yogurt, and a pastry, which was honestly more than I needed. I’d stay again if I were in a pinch.

Y’all did fine, and I’d recommend the place and stay again next year for my annual trip to Half Moon Bay. My only gripe is that the coffee selection could be better for a premium price. Still, with a location this friggin’ awesome, I reckon you can get away with it. That’s why I gave service 3 stars. Peace, y’all.
