Hamden Hotel and Suites – Hamden New Haven

Sharon at the front desk was amazing, really friendly, and breakfast had a nice selection without being too busy. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, the bathroom amazing, and the pool clean with a comfortable temperature. We stayed in late March 2026 after leaving Hamden Hotel and Suites because its rooms were dirty. The difference between HHS and Residence Inn by Marriott was night and day. The heating system can make some noise, but it doesn’t last long and isn’t too bad. Glad we left the other hotel when we did. Truly a great stay.

We had other places in the area we could have chosen, including ones we’d stayed at before, but after a fire at our home in February we needed somewhere urgently. Staying here was the best decision we made through the whole ordeal. The staff were great, the rooms very clean, and there were plenty of amenities. They were so kind to my family and considerate of our needs, especially with our dog lola with us. I appreciate everything they did. They’re the best place to stay around here, and I’d recommend giving them a try.

We’re grateful for this Residence Inn and use it every time we come home to visit family. It’s in a safe area, with friendly staff, dependable cleanliness, and lots of amenities within walking distance.

I’ve stayed at Residence Inn Hamden with family and friends around six times, and every visit has been great. The rooms are always spotless and feel luxurious, and the service is exceptional. Furqan at the front desk is energetic, quick, and knows the hotel inside out. I even saw him helping everyone in the kitchen with a smile, a real jack of all trades. When my TV stopped working one night, he came up and fixed it himself right away. As a Titanium member, I felt valued. We love this place and are already planning another visit. This is my first review for any hotel, but it deserved one.
