The Well House Hamilton, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

I grew up in the area but live out of state now, and it’s lovely to have such an affordable, beautiful, clean place to stay when I come “home” to visit. The building has been restored with a lot of care, and everyone was welcoming, kind, and hospitable. Hilton, I haven’t always been a fan, but The Well House has won me over.

The on-site restaurant is wonderful, and its bourbon selection alone is worth a visit. The room decor was up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel, though my room felt fairly cramped. This is now the standard I’ll use to judge other Tapestry hotels by Hilton. The staff were friendly and well groomed, and the building is well kept. The updates are tasteful and preserve the building’s original feel.

I travel 95% of the year, so I notice the small things, and Felicia really stands out. She’s consistently gone above and beyond, even bringing Uber Eats orders up to guests’ rooms late at night when she doesn’t have to. Since the hotel’s security policy keeps outside delivery workers in the lobby, that saves guests from coming down to collect food. It’s a small gesture that means a lot. She’s always upbeat, smiling, and genuinely kind. When offered a tip, she humbly says, “You don’t have to, it’s my job to make sure guests are happy.” That dedication is rare. Management should recognize her, and I think she deserves a promotion. People like her keep loyal guests like me coming back. My first stay at a Tapestry Collection property exceeded my expectations. The Well House was modern, clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and check-in went smoothly. The standard room felt a bit tight when I arrived, but Joey at the front desk immediately recognized my Diamond status and kindly upgraded me. That thoughtful gesture set the tone for the stay. The hotel’s restaurant was amazing, and the rooms were spacious and well appointed, with comfortable beds and a luxurious bathroom. It’s a beautiful building in a fantastic spot right on the river walk, with great restaurants within walking distance. This was a pleasant surprise, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the area.
