Super 8 Motel - Hammond

The room always smells nice, and the bed is always clean. The housekeeper is kind and respectful, and the service is great. Everything is always well kept. I’ll always love staying here.

It was easy to find coming from out of town, and the location worked great for why we were in Hammond. Housekeeping was the best I’ve ever experienced, and both front desk ladies were great from check-in through checkout. We had the jacuzzi in our room, just like the website showed. There were no bugs or any other problems. I think the bad reviews come from people trying to get a free stay.

The room decor was nice, but the furniture was really old and visibly rusty. Even though it was a nonsmoking room, it smelled like smoke. I work in this line of work, so I know what housekeeping needs to do, and I found bits of hair in different spots, including the sink and bed. There was also heavy dust on the lamps. The beds weren’t as soft as they looked in the pictures. After checking everything, the stay felt very uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you just need a place in an emergency.

The room was in really rough shape, and the hot water wasn’t working when I arrived. It only came back late that night.
