Walk to Eats: Mtn-view Hammondsport Hideaway!

Catherine kept in touch during our stay and gave us helpful ideas for things to do. The house has a warm, charming feel, and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Town is an easy walk away. We had a wonderful stay.

We’re already thinking of this lovely home as our regular spot for future wine country trips. It was a restful getaway, and we could walk into town for dinner and a concert at the pavilion. The accommodations were everything we hoped for. Thanks, Catherine, for sharing your charming home with us.

We came from California for our first visit to the area and spent the weekend in the Jules Masson suite. The soaking tub and comfortable bed were favorites, and the cheerful rooms were very clean, with lots of personal touches from the proprietors. Breakfast was beautifully laid out, with hot food available by request. The grounds were lovely and well kept, and the pool area was very nice. It’s a short walk to the center of town through a cute historic neighborhood. We enjoyed meeting the other guests and hearing about the area’s history. Thank you, Barbara, Lee and Catherine.

Lee knows the area well and made a great guide for our winery tour. He even adjusted it to our tastes by swapping in a local distillery for a winery. That was a real highlight, along with the fun local pubs and delicious ice cream in town. There’s plenty to do despite the town being small, and the B&B is a perfect distance from it. This was our first B&B, and it went beyond what we expected. We stayed in the Henry Ford room and loved it: a beautiful four-poster king bed, lots of sitting space, adorable decor, and natural light when we arrived. Breakfast was delicious every morning, and Lee was happy to tailor meals to our preferences and offer seconds. Barbara, Catherine and Lee were friendly and accommodating in every way. We’ve barely been home an hour and already want to return. Highly recommend!
