Extended Stay America Suites Hampton Coliseum

My 18-year-old nephew was turned away at the desk even though the website twice says guests can check in at 18. He'd booked a room for his wrestling trip and ended up without anywhere to stay. They also refused to refund him, despite the hotel's conflicting information. They should make this right and return his money.

Nisha was compassionate, efficient, and wonderful to deal with. I needed to extend my mother's stay after a fire displaced her from her senior apartment complex, and Nisha helped me both over the phone and in person. I also heard her assisting another customer by phone, and she was amazing there too. She apologized in both situations even though neither problem was her fault or the hotel's. She's a real asset.

My nephew booked for May 22-25th through hotels.com, where the minimum check-in age is listed as 18. When he arrived, the desk said it was 21 and wouldn't give him the room they'd sold him. Then they refused to refund his money. The hotel's reply to his review was only an apology, but they should at least return the payment for their incorrect information. This feels like a deceptive way to take advantage of customers under 21. The hotel is a fraud.

The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and I love being able to cook here. Martin does a great job keeping the building running and goes above and beyond when you need help. Terreka is kind and helpful too. Extended Stay is outstanding.
