The location worked for my needs, with most things I might need a 10-20 minute drive away in light traffic. It’s in a quiet area and allows pets, but the hotel is tucked into a strip of industrial business suites, so you might not spot it until you’re right there. At check-in I learned they were making changes and their systems were down. I had to fill things out on paper and leave my credit card details for incidentals. I understand the policy, but they hadn’t told me about the system problem beforehand. The front desk employee was courteous and had been off when the changes started, so he was figuring things out with me. The room key didn’t work at first, and with the computers down, he had to let me in and said I’d need someone from the desk whenever I wanted to enter until they sorted it out the next day. That was unacceptable. I left my things and went to buy cleaning supplies. When I returned, some systems were back up and I got a working key. The room had a fridge, stovetop, dishwasher, and cooking supplies. I noticed two roaches, which made me uneasy, but dealt with them and finished the stay without further trouble. I didn’t use many amenities; it was an adequate 2.5-3 star stay, nothing fancy.

I still haven’t received my $200 hold refund, and after the two-night stay I had, I’m demanding a full refund for both nights and a direct call right away to settle this. The conditions and staff behavior were shocking for a hotel claiming to be under new management. I heard front desk staff mocking guests and talking about them disrespectfully. One employee said she’d spit in a guest’s belongings, which was disgusting, unprofessional, and a serious health and safety violation. She also told customers certain items weren’t available because she didn’t like them. The room was dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned before I arrived. The toilet didn’t work properly, there were visible stains on the bedding and covers, and basic essentials were missing. Staff had to go into another room to bring me things that should have been there already. Staff hovered around me, lied openly, and shut things down in front of me. The whole experience felt careless, unsafe, unsanitary, and completely unacceptable for a paying guest. I expect the $200 hold to be released, a full refund for both nights, and a phone call now.

The room was comfortable and got plenty of sunlight, and the bed was nice. Being on the first floor also put me close to the laundry room. The hotel is quiet, with a gym, laundry facilities, and a full kitchenette that’s handy for a longer stay. Restaurants, shopping, and movies are about 10-15 minutes away by car. Staff are friendly, and there’s a front desk all day and night. For the price, it worked out, though the rooms feel dated and could use better cleaning. The hotel is clean in general, but the carpets seem to hold animal dander for months because it’s pet friendly. My allergies have been awful, so if yours are terrible too, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Housekeeping comes once a week, and each guest gets one towel, face cloth, and floor mat. If you need more, you have to exchange them, which is inconvenient.

The grounds are spacious, with lots of walking trails for pets, and the staff are welcoming with great service. The location is ideal, close to places like Spuntinis Bakery, Tommy's restaurant, and Games Farm Market. It’s a paw-fect getaway for pet parents, though the rooms are dated, a bit musty, and don’t have proper ventilation.
