Sun and Surf Motel

We’ve been coming to Hampton Beach a few times a year for 15 years and have stayed all over. Most beach motels are dirty, even the nicer ones, but this place is a new gem for us. Some rooms are dated and others renovated, but they’re clean. I’m a bit of a clean freak. On Sunday I watched the staff, who looked to be the owner and family, spend an hour or more on each room. I saw them remove all the sheets and bedding, which matters to me because I know some places don’t do that regularly. The owners are also really nice and helpful. When my friend couldn’t find a room, the owners’ granddaughter found one down the street for her and her kids. It’d be even better if they updated more of the rooms.

We loved our five days here. It’s a quaint, affordable place, very clean, and only a few minutes’ walk from the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. After a great day at the beach, the pool was a lovely spot for my daughters and me to relax. We’ll be back.

The staff were kind, friendly and attentive, and there’s a pool with plenty of fresh, clean towels. Remember to have your vehicle plate number ready for parking. There’s also a microwave and fridge. It’s an affordable, easygoing place to sleep, convenient to local attractions. The AC filter may need changing or cleaning, but the unit itself was cleaned to a high standard. Bar soap is provided, so bring your own shampoo if you need it. Enjoy the beautiful New Hampshire coast.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times. It’s nothing new or luxurious, but it covers the basics: clean rooms and comfortable beds. The person running the place was friendly, and the location is hard to beat, between the main beach and north beach with an easy walk downtown.
