The Sands Resort

We’ve been coming here for nearly 10 years, and it’s still affordable, clean, and welcoming. Heather and Bobby are wonderful about fitting in our friends and family, even when they decide at the last minute to join us in Hampton. Our daughter loves the private playground and game room, and we enjoy the sunrise and sunset from the private balcony. The updates over the years have been great, and the room layout works perfectly for our family. It’s always fresh and clean.

The location is ideal, and the rooms are comfortable. We usually choose the fourth floor, though all of them are nice. They’re laid out like little apartments, with a separate bedroom, so they work well for a family or two couples. The team, especially Bobby and Heather, take real pride in keeping the place clean and doing their best. Staff know many guests by name and make you feel welcome, which is what we appreciate most. Security is tight because they want to keep it a family resort, so anyone looking to act up should probably stay elsewhere. We’ve returned for years, and for the price, this is easily the nicest spot on the beach.

The staff made the stay feel easy, always friendly and attentive, and ready with recommendations or help when I needed something. My room was spotless, well cared for, and decorated in a way that felt warm and homey. The beach was just a short walk away, so getting to the sand and surf was simple. Sands Resort exceeded what I expected, and I’d happily book it again on my next beach trip. It’s clean, comfortable, and convenient.

I’ve been coming to the Sands from 2001 through 2025, and it’s the only place I stay when I’m in town. The rooms are nice and clean, and I like having the extra space and a kitchenette. The rates are good for what you get.
