The room was clean and pretty standard, and the spot by the water made it easy to walk across the bridge to Houghton’s bars and restaurants. Dana made check-in feel genuinely nice, she was upbeat, helpful, and knew her stuff. I liked the tea options too, and the juice and water station stayed available in the evening. The towels were thin and not comfortable. The pool was closed for maintenance while we were there, which was a letdown for the kid, and the hot tub jets weren’t working.

The rooms were clean and pleasant, and breakfast was very good. Brandi at the front desk was also kind and did her best to help us find a quiet place to play cards. We appreciated that, especially since the lobby had no available tables. A group of snowmobilers had taken over the hotel all week. They were drunk and belligerent every day, yelling even in the side room Brandi found for us. We gave up and went back to our room. If our stay hadn’t already been prepaid, we would have left. I’ve never seen a group take over a whole hotel and spoil everyone else’s stay like that.

We enjoyed sitting outside by the water after getting settled, and the location was excellent. The room was clean and nice, with a very comfortable bed. The two clerks working when we checked in were both personable, helpful, and professional, and they made a great first impression. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and the staff there were just as friendly and helpful. We’d happily stay again and recommend it.
